About The Position

We are seeking a technically-minded and detail-oriented QA Engineer with 2‒4 years of experience in a hybrid testing environment. In this role, you will be a key driver of quality for our SaaS platform, responsible for both manual and automated testing. The ideal candidate will own the quality lifecycle end-to-end: from designing and implementing test strategies and automating critical user paths to performing meticulous manual checks and collaborating closely with our product and engineering teams. This position is perfect for a QA professional who is passionate about building robust, scalable quality processes and is proficient in modern testing methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites using Playwright to ensure the reliability of our core features and integrations.
  • Perform targeted manual testing for new features, complex user scenarios, and exploratory testing to uncover issues that automation might miss.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers and Developers to review requirements, create comprehensive test plans, and ensure test coverage for new features.
  • Test and validate REST APIs to ensure backend stability, data integrity, and performance.
  • Execute regression suites (both manual and automated) to guarantee quality and prevent defects during the release cycle.
  • Test features across multiple browsers and devices to ensure a consistent and seamless user experience.
  • Log detailed, actionable bug reports in JIRA and track issues from identification through to resolution.
  • Participate actively in an Agile/Scrum environment, contributing to sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Integrate automated tests into our CI/CD pipeline to provide rapid feedback to the development team.
  • Document testing processes, automation scripts, and results to support internal knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

  • 2‒4 years of QA experience in a SaaS or web-based software environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • At least 1 year of hands-on experience in test automation using a modern framework such as Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript for writing and maintaining automated tests.
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, the software development lifecycle (SDLC), and best practices in a fast-paced Agile environment.
  • Proven experience writing clear, structured test plans, test cases, and defect reports in JIRA.
  • Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman) and a solid understanding of RESTful services.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and experience using browser developer tools for debugging.
  • Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong English communication skills (both written and verbal).

Big Plus

  • Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or CircleCI.
  • Proficiency with SQL for database validation and test data setup.
  • Experience with performance or security testing.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker.
